Samsung has just launched Gear Fit 2 which is a major upgrade on earlier Gear Fit. Gear Fit 2 comes with better aesthetics, design and sports a 1.5 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 216 x 432 pixels. Samsung Gear Fit 2 can be used to check the time, number of steps, calories, current activity status and also heart rate. It can be synchronized with the S Health and similar apps.
Gear Fit 2 is powered by a dual-core 1 GHz Exynos 3250 processor along with 512 MB of RAM. It comes with 4 GB of ROM i.e internal storage and is backed by 200 mAh battery. It runs on Samsung own Tizen operating system. The internal storage can be used to store music and can be listened using Standalone music player through Bluetooth headphones. It comes in two variants of small and large weighing 28 gm and 30 gm respectively. It is compatible with smartphones running Android 4.4 and above. Gear Fit 2 will be available for sale on June 10 in the United States for the price is $ 179.
