Pixel 11 Trade-In Offers End August 27: Read the Fine Print First

Google’s unlocked launch promotions on the Pixel 11 line expire on 27 August 2026 at 11:59 PM PT, and the headline numbers on the Google Store offers page — up to $600 back on the Pixel 11 Pro, up to $1,000 on the Pixel 11 Pro Fold — are the best case, not the typical one. Every one of the unlocked Google Store trade-in and bundle offers started on 12 August and runs on that same clock, so US buyers waiting for something better are waiting on a deadline rather than a moving target. The carrier-linked offers on the same page carry no published end date at all.

What the Pixel 11 offers actually are

Buying unlocked from the Google Store, the trade-in ceilings are up to $500 back on the Pixel 11, up to $600 on the Pixel 11 Pro, up to $700 on the Pixel 11 Pro XL and up to $1,000 on the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Each phone also carries a choice of one bundle sweetener:

  • Pixel 11: $130 off the Pixel Watch 5, or $100 in Google Store credit
  • Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL: $250 off the Pixel Watch 5, or $200 in Google Store credit
  • Pixel 11 Pro Fold: a Pixel Watch 5 (41 mm, Wi-Fi) at no cost, or $350 in Google Store credit

The Pixel 11 also ships with three months of YouTube Premium, which Google’s own terms value at $47.

The fine print that decides what you get

The trade-in ceiling is tied to a specific device. Google’s terms name the representative trade-ins for the maximum amount: $600 for a Google Pixel 10 Pro and $700 for a Google Pixel 10 Pro XL. In other words, hitting the advertised number means handing back a flagship that is roughly a year old and in good condition — values are, in Google’s wording, “subject to change upon inspection.” Anything older lands somewhere below the banner figure, and you will not know exactly where until the phone has been received and inspected.

Two more conditions are easy to miss. The offers apply only when “Unlocked” is selected in the Choose a carrier step; picking Google Fi or any carrier variant disqualifies the purchase. And if your traded device is worth more than the new one, the difference is not refunded in cash — Google’s terms state it “will be paid by issuance of Store Credit,” money that can only be spent back inside Google’s own store.

Carrier routes, and why they are not the same deal

The same page lists carrier-linked offers that look larger. Verizon advertises up to $900 off any new Pixel 11, but that is paid as bill credits spread over 36 months, requires an Unlimited Ultimate line and an eligible trade-in, and Google’s terms warn the “promo credit ends if eligibility req’s are no longer met.” The tier table makes the plan dependency plain: the same trade-in worth $900 on Unlimited Ultimate is worth $360 on Unlimited Welcome, and a Pixel 5 or older, iPhone 13 or older or Galaxy S23 or older drops to $450 and $180 respectively.

AT&T’s route is a Pixel 11 at $10.99 per month with any unlimited plan and no trade-in required — that is up to $503.36 in bill credits on a 256GB Pixel 11, spread over the installment term, and the offer terms are blunt that “If you cancel wireless service, your credits will end and you’ll owe the remaining balance on the installment agreement”. The offer is marked only “Limited Time”, with no end date given. Google Fi’s is the most aggressive on paper — a Pixel 11 Pro on us, or $1,100 off the Pro XL, plus $10 a month off the plan — but it binds you to a new Fi line.

None of that is unusual for a phone launch, and the unlocked trade-in offer is genuinely the cleanest of the set because the value comes back to your payment method rather than as a multi-year drip. It is worth being clear-eyed about the framing, though: a three-year bill-credit schedule is a discount you have to keep qualifying for, and store credit is a discount you can only spend where Google says. If you are buying unlocked from Google anyway, the 27 August cutoff is the number to plan around.
