Last week, we reported that PHICOMM would be launching its first smartphone in India.
The PHICOMM Passion 660 was launched today, and Androidpure was present at the launch event.
The Passion 660 flaunts a 5.0-inch Full HD IPS Display, which supports a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, and 441 ppi pixel density. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phone is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, clocked at 1.5 GHz, and 2GB RAM. The phone has 16GB of internal storage, and supports upto 64GB of expandable storage.
The PHICOMM Passion 660 runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat, with the company’s Expect OS 5.0 UI. The phone has a soft keypad with Menu, Home, and Back buttons. The volume and power keys are on the side of the device.
The Passion 660 sports a 13 megapixel rear camera with a Sony Exmor IMX 214 Sensor LED Flash, and a 5 megapixel front camera with BSI, and a super wide view angle of 84 degrees.
In terms of connectivity, the phone supports 4G LTE, GPS/A-GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro USB, and 3.5mm Audio Stereo. The device also supports a variety of sensors – G-sensor，L-sensor，P-Sensor, E-compass, Barometer. It also has a Step-counter sensor for measuring your steps to track the distance you walk, and the calories you burn. The step-counter works without GPS and a network connection. The Gesture sensor supports recognition of hand gestures for various functions.
The phone has 2 microphones for noise cancellation and suppression, and uses Qualcomm Snapdragon Voice+ technology for superior speech clarity even in noisy environments.
The phone measures just 7.3mm in thickness,(139×69×7.3 mm in dimensions)and weighs only 110. The Passion 660 is available in two colours: Black, White. The Passion 660 is backed by a 2300mAh battery. The Passion 660 supports Dual Sim cards (Micro+Nano).

The PHICOMM Passion 660 has been priced at Rs. 10,999, and will be available exclusively on Amazon India. Registration for the phone begins on 9th June.
The phone features a unibody metal design and a metal frame.
