It is called video boost, and helps in reducing the buffering speed of videos. In addition to smoother video playback, Opera Mini’s new feature also makes videos use lesser data.

How to enable video boost in Opera Mini:

  1. Tap on the settings button.
  2.  Now, select the “Data Savings” option.
  3. Scroll down and select the “video boost” option.

Opera Mini browser now reduces the size of images which you upload, to further reduce the amount of data it uses. The browser now has a new fast scrolling feature called the “thumbscroller”, which can be enabled by scrolling down a webpage.
