OnePlus N6x India Launch Confirmed for July 31: 7,000mAh Battery

The OnePlus N6x gets its India launch on July 31, 2026 at 12PM, OnePlus has confirmed on a live product page on its own India site. Alongside the date, the company has published exactly one hardware number: a 7,000mAh battery. Everything else about the phone — chipset, display, cameras, charging speed, price — remains unannounced.

What OnePlus has confirmed about the N6x

The launch page is running under the tagline “Power for Days,” which tells you where the pitch is going. Here is the full set of officially confirmed details as of today:

  • Launch date and time: July 31, 2026, 12PM, in India
  • Battery: 7,000mAh, described by OnePlus as a “Massive 7000mAh Battery”
  • Battery life claim: up to 2.5 days on a single charge
  • Colours: Burgundy Red and Ice Blue
  • Design (from OnePlus’s teaser renders): flat frame, textured rear panel, capsule-shaped camera island in the top corner

One more detail is visible in OnePlus’s own teaser renders rather than stated in text: there is a circular cutout on the top edge of the frame, in the position and proportions of a 3.5mm headphone jack. OnePlus has not called it out in writing, so treat it as strongly implied rather than confirmed until July 31 — but a headphone jack on a 2026 budget phone is worth watching for.

The 2.5-day battery claim, read properly

The “up to 2.5 days” figure is OnePlus’s own, not an independent result, and the company’s footnote on the same page is unusually explicit about how much can move it:

OnePlus N6x can provide up to 2.5 days of battery life on a single charge. Data according to OnePlus Test Lab results. Actual battery life experienced by users may be affected by environmental factors, including network environment, features and applications used, call and message frequency, number of recharges, usage habits, device age, and other settings.

Read that as the ceiling under lab conditions, not the number you should budget for. It is also worth noting that OnePlus made a bigger claim only three weeks ago: the OnePlus N6, launched in India on July 4 at Rs 22,999, carries an 8,000mAh cell and a claimed three days of use. The N6x is expected to sit below the N6 on price, yet carries the smaller battery — which makes the endurance pitch a slightly odd one to lead with.

OnePlus N6x pricing and availability

OnePlus has not announced pricing. Figures circulating ahead of the launch are estimates, not company numbers, and we are not going to print one. The only firm reference point is the N6 at Rs 22,999 for 4GB + 128GB and Rs 24,999 for 6GB + 128GB — the N6x sits below that in the lineup, so it should undercut it.

Retail channels have not been detailed either. The N6 is sold through OnePlus.in, the OnePlus Store app and Amazon.in, and the N6x is likely to follow the same route. The launch page currently offers only a “Notify Me” sign-up.

What is still missing — and why it matters

Two omissions stand out for anyone planning to buy. The first is silicon: the N6 runs a MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex with a 6.8-inch HD+ 120Hz LCD, and a cheaper sibling is unlikely to improve on either. The second is software. OnePlus has said nothing about which OS version the N6x ships with or how many upgrades it gets, and that question is more loaded than usual right now, because OnePlus has confirmed OxygenOS is being folded into ColorOS 17. A budget phone bought this week will live through that transition. Ask for the update commitment on stage, not in a spec sheet published afterwards.

There is a wider context too. OnePlus is reported to be preparing to pull out of the US and Europe, and is simultaneously adding a second budget model to its India range inside a month. Whatever that says about the company’s global plans, India buyers are getting more OnePlus hardware, not less — for now.

Full specifications and pricing land on July 31.
