Samsung’s stable One UI 9.0 update, based on Android 17, has reached its next big wave of phones. The Galaxy S25 series and last year’s foldables started receiving it today. Every one of those builds is going out in South Korea first. It follows the Galaxy S26 rollout that began on September 16.
The Galaxy Z TriFold is the notable name on today’s list. It is the only current Samsung flagship that never ran a One UI 9 beta. Its owners are going straight to the stable build.
One UI 9 stable builds rolling out today
Firmware versions and download sizes come from SamMobile’s reporting on the Korean rollout. Sizes vary a lot depending on the build you are updating from.
- Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra — firmware S93xNKSUCDZIF. Around 535MB for phones already on the beta. Around 3,851.56MB for phones coming from One UI 8.5 on Android 16.
- Galaxy S25 Edge — firmware S937NKSUADZIF, roughly 3,398.98MB.
- Galaxy S25 FE — firmware S731NKSU9CZI5, roughly 326.59MB. That size applies to units enrolled in the beta programme.
- Galaxy Z Fold 7 — firmware F966NKSUCCZIH, roughly 534.56MB.
- Galaxy Z Flip 7 — same rollout and the same feature set as the Z Fold 7.
- Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE — firmware F761NKSUCCZIH.
- Galaxy Z TriFold — firmware F968NKSU7CZIH, roughly 3,091.93MB.
On the foldables, Samsung is highlighting a more customisable Quick Panel. Updated Samsung Notes and DeX, a location privacy indicator and accessibility improvements are also listed. No date for other regions has surfaced as of September 28. Samsung’s past rollouts have widened over the following days, so that is the pattern to expect rather than a commitment.
In beta, not stable: Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A16
Two mid-rangers also moved today, but only into testing. Samsung opened One UI 9.0 beta programmes for the Galaxy A54 and the Galaxy A16 in India. Neither phone has a stable build yet. Treat those as test releases rather than a finished update.
What’s in the Galaxy S26 US carrier changelog
Samsung has also published a changelog for the Galaxy S26 series on US carriers. Android Authority reports that T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile and US Cellular variants are now on build S94xUSQU4BZID. That build carries the September 5, 2026 security patch. An unlocked US Galaxy S26 Ultra has also been spotted on build S948U1UEU4BZID at 644.92MB.
The changelog is long. These are the main groups of changes it covers.
- Galaxy AI — an enhanced Now Nudge, My FanCam auto subject tracking, Interpreter mode upgrades and event information on the call screen.
- Samsung Health — a redesign adding sleep vitals, heart health scoring, cardio load, a Fitness Index, a hearing tracker and cycle tracking.
- Bixby — gesture activation, plus conversation search and pinning.
- Interface — Quick Panel customisation, a redesigned lock screen clock, and DeX desktop-preview and window-move improvements.
- Accessibility — a What’s New menu, text spotlight, physical keyboard shortcuts and Select to Speak.
- Privacy and security — a Warranty & Care menu, a quick secure lock, a location-access transparency indicator and AI privacy alerts for risky app permissions.
The privacy additions are the ones worth checking
That last group is the genuinely useful part of this update for most people. A location indicator tells you when an app is reading your position. The AI privacy alerts flag permissions that look excessive for what an app does. Neither helps unless you act on the warning, so open those alerts instead of dismissing them.
