Nokia C30 with a 3-year old Unisoc processor launched in India

HMD Global has announced an entry-level phone called the Nokia C30, in India. Let’s take a look at the technical specifications of the phone.

The device is equipped with a 6.82 inches HD+ LCD panel that supports 400 nits brightness, 70% NTSC Colour Gamut, The V-notch houses a 5MP selfie camera. The phone runs on Android 11 Go Edition, and Nokia promises 2 years of security updates. We are not sure if that includes OS updates.

The Nokia C30 is powered by a 3-year-old processor, from 2018, the Unisoc SC9863A octa-core SoC. It has a 3GB/4GB of RAM, and 32GB/64GB of storage and supports up to 256GB of expandable memory via a micoSD card slot. The handset sports dual rear cameras with a 13MP primary lens, and a 2MP Depth Sensor, with an LED Flash.
HMD Global has packed a 6000mAh battery in the C30, and it supports 10W charging over a microUSB 2.0 connector. The phone supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/AGPS connectivity options. In the audio department, the phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack and supports FM Radio. The device weighs 247g, and measures 9.9 x 177.7 x 79.1 mm.

Sensors onboard the Nokia C30 include an Accelerometer (G-sensor), an Ambient light sensor, a Proximity sensor, and a rear-facing fingerprint scanner.

Nokia C30 price in India

HMD Global has priced the Nokia C30 at Rs. 10,999 for the base version with 3GB/32GB, and at Rs. 11,999 for the 4GB/64GB model. The phone will be available in 2 colours: Green and White, from Nokia.com and other retailers. Buyers can avail an instant discount of 10% up to Rs. 1000, by ordering the phone via the My Jio app, or at select retail outlets.
