Lenovo Z5s official Renders released, Leaks suggest 12GB RAM and Snapdragon 845

Lenovo is set to announce a new smartphone Lenovo Z5s on December 18. The company has already two devices in the Z series i.e. Lenovo Z5 and Lenovo Z5 Pro and Z5s will be the third device in this Z series. Just two days ahead of the official launch, official press renders of the upcoming smartphone are released by Lenovo confirming the design of the phone. The Lenovo Z5s official renders confirm the triple camera module aligned vertically at the top left with LED flash while the fingerprint sensor is present at the usual place.

These renders also confirm the colours of the smartphone i.e. Blue, Black and Red. All the colours seem to come with some gradient giving them a much better look. The renders, unfortunately, do not offer much detail for the front display and hence we need to wait for the official launch to know more about that.

Apart from these official renders, an alleged screenshot of Lenovo Z5s “About Phone” has leaked on Weibo suggesting a Lenovo Z5s Ferrari Superfast Edition powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 along with 12GB of RAM & 128GB of internal storage. To be honest, the leak seems FAKE in our opinion.

There are other leaks floating around on Weibo which suggest a Snapdragon 710 powered Lenovo Z5s which appears more credible as we have talked about with TENAA listing. BUt yes, we still need to wait for some confirmation or the official launch.

Lenovo Z5s with Triple camera officially confirmed

A new smartphone from Lenovo has surfaced on Chinese certification agency TENAA with triple camera setup similar to what we have seen in Huawei P20 Pro. The listing on TENAA didn’t specify the name of the smartphone but came with a model number Lenovo L78071 along with the phone images from the front, back and sides. The listing also revealed some hardware specifications of the phone, though it was much less than the full detailed listing.

The name of the smartphone is now confirmed by the Chang Cheng, the vice president of Lenovo Group who made the announced on his Weibo handle in response to a user asking if they would call it P20 Pro or something else. Chang Cheng responded and confirmed that the new triple camera smartphone from Lenovo will be the Lenovo Z5s. The Vice President though has not revealed any details about the possible launch date of the same.

Lenovo Z5 Pro is the last device in Z series and comes with an incredible 95% screen to body ratio & sliding screen design. Lenovo Z5 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor along with 6GB of RAM & 64GB/128GB internal storage. It runs on ZUI 10, which is based on Android Oreo 8.1.

The front cameras on the phone consist of a 16MP camera and an 8MP lens which supports infrared face unlock. The primary cameras on the Lenovo Z5 Pro are a 16MP Sony IMX 576 lens and a 24MP Sony IMX 519 sensor. The device is backed by a 3,350 mAh battery, which charges over USB Type-C. Unfortunately, the Lenovo Z5 Pro does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack.
