Xiaomi has given HyperOS 4 a firm start date at last. The stable rollout begins October 15 in China, one day after internal beta recruitment closes on October 14. Twelve devices are in the first batch. This is a China date only, and global timing has not been announced as of October 11.

If the device list looks familiar, it should. We published this same first-batch roster in September, when Xiaomi had named the devices but not the day. The October 10 community announcement is what turns that queue position into an actual calendar date.
Devices in the First Batch
All twelve get the stable build starting October 15, in China, on a staged basis. Staged means your handset may see the update days after the first units do.

What Happens After the First Batch
A second batch is scheduled to start later this month, per the rollout timeline Xiaomi published earlier. That timeline runs through December and covers considerably more hardware than the twelve above. Our full HyperOS 4 rollout schedule has the by-date breakdown rather than repeating every tier here.
If You Are Outside China
This date does not apply to you. Xiaomi runs a HyperOS 4 global beta on a handful of phones, but no official global stable-rollout timeline has been announced. Gizmochina expects a global start in late October, and that is the outlet’s own estimate rather than anything Xiaomi has said.
So treat October 15 as a China milestone and nothing more. Until Xiaomi publishes a global schedule, the date tells owners elsewhere nothing about when their own update lands.
