Huawei has unveiled its latest flagship phones in the Mate series. Meet the Huawei Mate 40 and the Huawei Mate 40 Pro.
Huawei Mate 40
The Mate 40 is equipped with a 6.5 inches AMOLED Full HD+ display with a 90 Hz refresh rate, 240 Hz touch sampling rate, and a punch-hole cut out in the top left corner for the front camera. The selfie lens is a 13 MP Ultra Vision Wide Angle lens with an f/2.4 aperture. The screen features an in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone runs on EMUI 11.0 based on Android 10, and is powered by an octa-core HUAWEI Kirin 9000 processor with a 22-core Mali-G78 GPU. The handset has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The Huawei Mate 40 has triple cameras on the rear comprising a 50MP Ultra vision LEICA Wide Angle lens with an f/1.9 aperture, a 16MP cine camera with Ultra-Wide Angle support, an f/2.2 aperture, an 8MP telephoto lens, with an f/2.4 aperture, Optical image stabilization and an LED Flash. The phone is backed by a 4200 mAh battery that charges over a USB Type C port and supports 40W fast charging with Huawei SuperCharge. The device supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 2.4/5 GHz, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS/AGPS/GLONASS/Beidou/GALILEO/QZSS.
The Huawei Mate 40 has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Huawei Mate 40 Pro
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro is quite identical to the regular model, but has an additional front camera which is a 3D Depth sensing lens. The display is slightly larger at 6.76 inches, and the battery capacity is also a tad larger at 4400mAh. The Mate 40 Pro supports 66W wired fast charging with Huawei SuperCharge, and 50W Wireless Huawei SuperCharge.
While the main camera of the triple lens setup is the same as the regular variant’s the Mate 40 Pro has a 20MP cine camera, with an Ultra-Wide Angle lens, an f/1.8 aperture, and a 12MP telephoto lens, with an f/3.4 aperture, OIS, and an LED Flash. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Huawei Mate 40 Pro+
The top end version in the series is called the Huawei Mate 40 Pro+. It is similar to the Mate 40 Pro, but has 12GB RAM, and Quad cameras. The extra sensor is an 8MP SuperZoom Camera which supports OIS, 10x Optical Zoom, and has an f/4.4 aperture.
