Gemini can now reach into your Google Wallet. Connect the two and the assistant can pull up loyalty cards, event tickets and boarding passes on request. It can also summarise your spending, drawing on transaction data from financial accounts linked through Plaid. The integration is US-only for now, and Google is rolling it out gradually.
What Gemini can do with your Google Wallet
Google’s support page sets out three things the assistant can handle. It can draw conclusions from the transactions in the accounts you have linked. It can tell you where your money went over a period and suggest ways to budget better. It can also look up whatever rewards and offers you currently have sitting unused.
To use it, tag @Google Wallet in a Gemini prompt. Simply mentioning Google Wallet in your question works too. If the app is not connected yet, Gemini offers to connect it for you.
What it cannot do
The obvious worry is whether a chatbot with access to your wallet can spend money. It cannot. Gemini cannot pay for anything using the cards you have stored. It also cannot add, change or remove the financial accounts you have linked.
That boundary is worth knowing, but it does not settle the privacy question. Reading is the concern here, not spending. Pulling up a boarding pass is a very different thing from handing a general-purpose assistant a running view of your bank transactions. Google bundles both under one feature name. It is not clear from Google’s documentation whether the two can be enabled separately.
Should you connect it
The integration stays off until you connect it, which is the right default. Just be clear about which half you actually want. Budgeting tips are the part that requires linking financial accounts, and that is a far larger pool of personal data than a stack of loyalty cards.
Who can use it
This is a narrow rollout. Every one of the following conditions applies.
- Location: United States only
- Language: English only
- Age: 18 and over
- Account type: personal Google Accounts, not managed or Workspace accounts
- Setting: Keep Activity must be enabled
- Not supported in: Gems and Gemini Live
Meeting all of those still does not guarantee access. Google’s support documentation says the rollout is staged.

Google Wallet is one of several connected apps in Gemini, so this is an addition to an existing framework rather than a new one. If the option has not appeared in your Gemini app yet, there is nothing to do but wait.
