Oppo is expected to announce their next device in F series i.e. Oppo F9 on August 15, followed by Oppo F9 Pro in India later on. Thanks to earlier leaks and some official teasers from the company, we already know the hardware specifications of Oppo F9 Pro. Today, Androidpure has received details about the hardware specifications of the standard variant i.e. Oppo F9 which reveal all the design details and specifications.
As you can see from the official press render of Oppo F9, it features a new waterdrop display with a small notch at the top similar to Essential smartphone and comes with a high screen to body ratio of 90.8%. The bezels at the bottom are small while there are negligible bezels at sides. The dual camera at the rear is placed horizontally while the fingerprint sensor is at the usual convenient position.
We can confirm that Oppo F9 features a 6.3-inch water drop display with Full HD+ resolution and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz along with 4GB of RAM. It comes with 64GB of internal storage and runs on Color OS 5.2 UI based on Android Oreo operating system.
In terms of camera, it features a 25MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture with AI support while on the rear it features the dual camera module with 16MP primary sensor along with a 2MP secondary sensor with f/1.85 aperture. The phone is backed by a 3500mAh battery and includes support for Dual SIM. It also comes with a dedicated MicroSD card slot for expandable storage. It will be available in Red Sunshine and Twilight colour options. Oppo F9 Pro will be the first device featuring the Corning Gorilla Glass 6, though we cannot be sure about Oppo F9.
It appears that the company will be announcing only the Pro variant in India initially and may unveil the standard variant later on after few weeks or months. At the moment, we still don’t have any clue about the pricing of Oppo F9. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
