ES File Explorer will have a paid version to remove ads (bloatware)

A couple of days ago, we reported that what was once the best file manager apps for Android, ES File Explorer has added bloatware ads, and is spamming users with notifications.

ES File Explorer paid version to remove ads
One user who received such a notification on his device, took to Google Play and left a one star review, slamming the move.

Surprisingly, the developer of the app, has left a reply to the review, which says that a paid version of ES File Explorer is in the works.

We are about to launch a paid version. Our upcoming paid version will (have) no ads, and can be removed homepage , so stay tuned !

Will you pay for an app to remove bloatware ads? I don’t mind paying a one time fee to remove banner ads or to unlock pro features (long time Solid Explorer user here), but I certainly won’t throw money to remove full screen ads or notifications, which kind of forces (read annoys) the user, driving them to pay to get rid of the ads.
