ASUS Zenfone price cuts announced: Max Pro M1, Max Pro M2, Max M2, and Zenfone 5Z become more affordable than ever

ASUS has announced several Zenfone price cuts, which make its devices more affordable than ever. The new prices come hot on the heels of the launches of the Samsung Galaxy M20 and Redmi Note 7 devices.

ASUS Zenfone price cuts 2019

To be honest, we can’t blame ASUS for doing so, because they have to compete with some really serious contenders now.

So it is no surprise that the power-packed Zenfone Max Pro M1, its successor Max Pro M2, the budget friendly Max M2, and the flagship Zenfone 5Z are all cheaper now.

Here are the Zenfone price cuts.

4GB/64GBRs. 11,999Rs. 10,499Rs. 1,500

All three variants of the Zenfone Max Pro M1 have gotten a Rs. 1,500 price cut, and now starts at Rs. 8,499 for the 3GB RAM variant.

The Zenfone Max Pro M2 has a much better price cut of Rs. 3,000. This essentially means that you can buy the Pro M2 for the previous prices of the Pro M1. The Max Pro M2 prices start at Rs. 9,999 for the 3GB/32GB variant.

The flagship Zenfone 5Z is the recipient of the biggest price cut of the lot here, with a massive Rs. 5,000 permanent discount. The phone’s prices now start at Rs. 24,999 for the 6GB RAM variant with 64GB of storage.

The Zenfone Max M2 also received a Rs. 1,500 price cut and will retail from Rs. 8,499 for the 3GB RAM variant. It will directly compete with the Max Pro M1, and to be honest, the latter is the better pick of the two.

When do these prices take effect?

According to the press note sent to AndroidPure, the Zenfone price cuts will be effective starting on 2nd March, i.e., tomorrow, on Flipkart.

To quote MKBHD’s famous saying, good smartphones are becoming cheaper, and cheap smartphones are becoming good. Perhaps 2019 will turn out to be the year of the super mid-range phones.

Can we expect an ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M3 launch soon?

ASUS really needs a new phone to compete with the Note 7 and Galaxy M20. A device with an updated design with a water-drop notch could help it balance the scales.

We also need to take into account the previous launch dates of the Max Pro and compare it with the Redmi Note launch dates.

The Redmi Note 5 was launched in February 22nd, 2018, and ASUS launched the Zenfone Max Pro M1 on April 23rd, 2018. The Redmi Note 6 was announced on November 22nd, 2018, while the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M2 launched on December 11th, 2018.

Based on this, we are speculating that ASUS could launch the Zenfone Max Pro M3 soon, maybe in a month or two.
