ASUS has announced the newest entrants to its flagship series, in Taiwan. These are the ASUS Zenfone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro.
The Zenfone 7 sports a 6.67-inches AMOLED Full HD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate, 92% screen-to-body ratio, 700 nits brightness, 105% NTSC color gamut, 110% DCI-P3 and HDR10+. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6. Instead of an in-display or rear placed fingerprint sensor, the ASUS Zenfone 7 is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The device runs on Android 10 with ASUS ZenUI 7 on top. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor with an Adreno 650 GPU. The Zenfone 7 has 6GB/8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a microSD card slot that supports up to 2TB of additional memory.
Just like the ASUS 6Z, the ASUS Zenfone 7 has flip cameras that can be used for selfies and regular photography. The camera setup comprises a 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor with a 1/1.73″ large sensor, 0.8 µm pixel size, f/1.8 aperture, 26.6 mm focal length, 78.3° field of view, a 12MP ultra wide-angle lens Sony IMX363, that has a 1/2.55” sensor, 1.4 µm pixel size, f/2.2 aperture, 14.3 mm focal length, 4cm macro photography, an 8MP Telescope lens that supports 3x optical zoom, 12x digital zoom, 80 mm focal length, and Dual LED fill light.
The ASUS Zenfone 7 is backed by a 5000mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging over a USB Type-C port.
The phone supports 5G, 4G LTE, WiFi 6 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, 2×2 MIMO, Dual band 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi direct, NFC among other connectivity options. The ASUS Zenfone 7 does not have a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

The ASUS Zenfone 7 price in Taiwan starts at NT$ 21,990 (about Rs. 56,000) for the 6GB variant, while the 8GB version costs NT $23,990 (about Rs. 61,000). The Zenfone 7 Pro will retail for NT$ 27,990 (about Rs. 71,000).
