Finnish game studio, Rovio, has announced that it is bringing the sequel to Angry Birds, later this month.
The original game was launched six years ago, in 2009m and has seen various spin-offs susch as Angry Birds Space, Star Warsm and many more.
This is what Rovio’s statement about Angry Birds 2 reads:
With 3 billion game downloads, millions of fans across the globe, multiple mashups and spin-offs, collaborations with A-list celebrities and much more, we’re really proud that Angry Birds is the mother of all mobile game apps. And now we’re proud to announce the mother of all sequels – Angry Birds 2!
The official website of the upcoming game, doesn’t reveal much about the game either. All it has is a video teaser, which is seen from the (first person) view of an “Angry Bird”, which spies on some pigs on an island. Is it going to be a 3D game with moving targets?
Angry Birds 2 is coming to Android on July 30th.
