Refurbished Pixel 9 Pro Now Sells for $649 at Google’s US Store

Google’s US store now sells Certified Refurbished Pixel 9 Pro phones from $649. That is $350 less than the $999 original retail price Google lists for the phone. The Pixel 9 Pro XL is listed from $699, against an original price of $1,099.

Buyers of a refurbished Pro model also get a six-month Google AI Plus trial with 2TB of storage. That offer has conditions, covered below. Prices were checked on Google’s store on October 13 and can change.

Refurbished Pixel 9 Pro Deal Details

  • Pixel 9 Pro: from $649 for 128GB; original price $999, a $350 saving; 6.3-inch display
  • Pixel 9 Pro XL: from $699; original price $1,099, a $400 saving; 6.8-inch display
  • Pixel 9: from $499; original price $799, a $300 saving; not eligible for the AI Plus trial

Google says its refurbished phones pass a multi-point quality test. It also says they carry the same one-year warranty as new devices and come unlocked for any carrier. Those are Google’s own claims about the program. A refurbished phone is still not a new one, even with a matching warranty.

The AI Plus Trial Comes With Conditions

The six-month Google AI Plus trial applies only to a refurbished Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL or Pixel 8 Pro. The base Pixel 9 does not qualify.

Google limits the offer to new subscribers. The subscription is voided if you return the phone, and the offer must be redeemed by April 4, 2027. Further terms apply.

The trial does not lower the price of the phone. It is a subscription bundle attached to the purchase. It adds value only if you would actually use Google’s AI plan or the extra cloud storage.

What About the Base Pixel 9?

Google lists the refurbished Pixel 9 from $499, down from its $799 original retail price. 9to5Google reported on October 12 that the base model was out of stock. Google’s store page did not make stock status by model clear when we checked. Confirm availability before planning around the $499 price.

For comparison, Samsung’s refurbished program lists the Galaxy S26 at $759 in the US. Shoppers who want a newer Pixel can also look at US carrier deals on the Pixel 11, which come with their own plan conditions.
