CMF Clip Pro Launched: Nothing’s First Open-Ear Earbuds Start at

Nothing’s budget sub-brand CMF has launched the Clip Pro, its first open-ear clip-on earbuds featuring a rotating Smart Dial on the charging case. The Clip Pro goes on sale August 15 in the US at $99 and in the UK at £79, with early US pre-orders discounted to $79. Europe and other global markets follow on September 15 — though notably, India is not on the launch list.

Pricing and Availability

  • US — $99 ($79 pre-order discount), available August 15
  • UK — £79, available August 15
  • Japan — available August 15
  • Europe and other markets — September 15
  • India — not launching in India

The Clip Pro comes in Dark Grey, Light Grey, and Coral.

Design and Key Features

Unlike Nothing’s Ear (open), which uses an ear-hook design, the Clip Pro clips directly onto the outer edge of your ear cartilage using a three-point clip with a flexible titanium wire C-bridge. Each bud weighs just 5.92 grams. The tactile buttons work with gloves on — a practical touch for outdoor use.

The standout feature is the Smart Dial on the charging case. It rotates to control volume, playback, calls, and pairing mode, giving you physical controls without reaching for your phone.

Specifications

  • Drivers — 10.8mm dual-magnet dynamic drivers with Ultra Bass Technology
  • Audio codecs — LDAC, AAC, SBC; Hi-Res Audio certified
  • Connectivity — Bluetooth 5.4, dual-device pairing, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, low-lag mode
  • Microphones — 4-mic setup with Clear Voice Technology
  • Battery (buds) — 60mAh per bud, up to 10 hours music / 6.5 hours talk
  • Battery (case) — 475mAh, 32.5 hours total (36 hours in Long Battery Mode)
  • Fast charge — 10 minutes gives 4 hours of playback
  • Water resistance — IP54 (buds), IPX2 (case)
  • Weight — 5.92g per bud, 38.81g case

At $99, the Clip Pro undercuts most open-ear competitors while offering features like LDAC and the Smart Dial that are usually reserved for pricier options. The missing India launch is a notable gap for a brand that has built much of its recent momentum in India — though CMF may add the market in a later wave.
