Redmi Note 17 Europe Prices Leak: Pro Max Tipped at €600

Redmi Note 17 European pricing has leaked ahead of the series going global, and the numbers are steep. According to an exclusive from YTechB, Xiaomi will take four models international — the Note 17 4G, Note 17 5G, Note 17 Pro 5G and Note 17 Pro Max 5G — with the range topping out at €600. None of this is official yet, so treat it as a rumour until Xiaomi confirms.

Leaked Redmi Note 17 Europe prices

  • Redmi Note 17 4G — €250 (4GB + 128GB), €300 (6GB + 256GB)
  • Redmi Note 17 5G — €400 (6GB + 256GB)
  • Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G — €500 (6GB + 256GB)
  • Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G — €600 (8GB + 256GB)

The series is separately rumoured to launch in India on 6 August. Xiaomi has not announced a European date, and Indian pricing is not part of this leak.

How that compares with China

The gap between these figures and the official Chinese prices is the real story. In China, the Redmi Note 17 and Note 17 Pro launched at CNY 1,299 (about $180) and CNY 1,599 (about $220) respectively. A €500 Pro and a €600 Pro Max would put the global versions at well over double their Chinese starting points at current exchange rates.

Some of that is normal — VAT, import duty, warranty and channel costs always inflate European pricing, and the global variants are not always identical hardware. Notebookcheck reports the international Note 17 5G is expected to carry a 108MP main camera in place of the 50MP sensor used on the Chinese model. But a 4GB/128GB entry phone at €250, and 8GB of RAM at €600, is a hard sell in a market where memory prices are the reason phones across the industry are getting more expensive rather than an excuse for it.

What we know about the hardware

Based on the Chinese launch, the standard Redmi Note 17 runs a 7-inch FHD+ 120Hz OLED, a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4, an 8,000mAh battery with 45W charging and a 50MP main camera, with IP65 rating and Android 16 under HyperOS 3. The Note 17 Pro steps up to a 6.83-inch 1.5K 120Hz OLED rated at 3,500 nits, a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, a 9,000mAh battery with 67W charging and IP68/IP69 protection.

Whether the European Pro Max maps onto any of those Chinese configurations is unconfirmed, and it is the single detail that decides if €600 is defensible. If you are shopping in this bracket, the sensible move is to wait for Xiaomi’s own announcement — pricing leaked this far ahead of an announcement has a habit of moving before it becomes official.
