The Pixel 11 launch date is now official. Google has sent out press invites confirming that its “Made by Google 2026” hardware event will take place on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, in New York City, starting at 6:00 PM ET (3:00 PM PT) — that’s 3:30 AM IST on Thursday, August 13 for viewers in India. This is where the Pixel 11 series is expected to make its debut, and notably, the event lands a full week earlier than last year’s Pixel 10 launch.
This is the second consecutive year Google has picked New York City for its flagship hardware event. The date, time and venue come straight from Google’s official invite, so those details are confirmed — everything about the devices themselves, however, still comes from leaks, and we’ll label those accordingly below.
Pixel 11 launch date confirmed — and the invite may have shown the phone
Interestingly, the invite itself may be doing double duty as a teaser. The official image shows a shiny gold/bronze metallic frame with flat edges and a horizontal pill-shaped camera visor stretching nearly the full width of the device — widely read as the first official (if inadvertent) look at the Pixel 11 Pro. What makes it more intriguing is that none of the earlier leaks had shown a gold/bronze colour option for the Pixel 11 line, suggesting Google may have a new colourway up its sleeve.
What Google is expected to announce (rumored)
Google hasn’t confirmed the lineup, but based on leaks so far, the August 12 event is expected to bring:
- Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold — the full four-phone flagship lineup
- Tensor G6 chipset — rumored to be built on a 2nm process
- Pixel Watch 5 in two sizes, and possibly new Pixel Buds Pro
- “Pixel Glow” — a rumored RGB LED lighting feature that surfaced in earlier software leaks and may debut on the new phones
Pre-orders are expected to open immediately after the event, with general availability within about a week. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold, however, may see extended fulfillment delays stretching into September or October, if the leaks are accurate.
Pricing: leaks point upward
Pricing leaks — unverified, and not from Google — suggest US prices could climb by roughly $100 over the equivalent Pixel 10 models. Leaked European pricing puts the Pixel 11 Pro at around €1,199 and the Pro XL at around €1,399. If those numbers hold, buyers upgrading from the Pixel 10 generation would be paying more for the same tier, so it’s worth waiting for official figures before judging value.
What about India?
Google hasn’t announced an India launch date or pricing yet. Going by past pattern, Pixel phones have arrived in India at or shortly after the US launch, typically within a few weeks. For context, the Pixel 10 series started at roughly ₹79,999 in India. Some Indian retail-price-tracking sites are already floating Pixel 11 figures of around ₹79,990 and up, but to be clear, these are early speculative estimates — not official prices — and given the rumored $100 hike in the US, Indian pricing could land higher. We’ll know for certain on or after August 12.
