Oppo launched the Reno 16 and Reno 16c in India this week, with prices starting at ₹46,999. The headline change over the Reno 15 series is durability and battery: both phones carry an IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K rating, pack silicon-carbon batteries of 6,700mAh and 7,000mAh respectively, and ship with Android 16-based ColorOS 16 out of the box. Oppo also introduced an unusual accessory alongside them — the Bubble, a magnetic mini-display that snaps onto the back of the phone so you can shoot selfies with the rear cameras.
For buyers, the practical takeaway is this: the Reno 16c brings a 7,000mAh battery and full dust/water sealing under ₹50,000, while the Reno 16 adds a proper 50MP telephoto camera — still uncommon at this price — for ₹61,999.

Oppo Reno 16 and Reno 16c: Pricing and Availability
The Reno 16 costs ₹61,999 for 8GB + 256GB and ₹67,999 for 12GB + 256GB. The Reno 16c is priced at ₹46,999 (8GB + 128GB), ₹49,999 (8GB + 256GB) and ₹55,999 (12GB + 256GB). Both come in Starry White, Stellar Purple and Twilight Violet.
Sales begin on July 9 on Amazon, Flipkart, the Oppo India store and offline retail. Launch offers include instant cashback on SBI and HDFC Bank cards, which brings the effective starting price of the Reno 16c closer to ₹42,000.
What the Bubble accessory does
The Bubble attaches magnetically to the phone’s back and mirrors the rear camera preview on its 1.73-inch AMOLED screen. Since the rear cameras are far better than any selfie shooter, this lets you frame selfies and vlogs with the main 50MP sensor instead. It weighs 27.5g, has its own 550mAh battery and an IP54 rating. Oppo is selling it as part of an optional privilege pack rather than bundling it in the box.

Specifications
The Indian Reno 16 swaps the Dimensity chip used in China for a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Its 6.32-inch 120Hz AMOLED panel claims 3,500 nits peak brightness, and the triple 50MP rear setup — Sony LYT-600 main with OIS, ultra-wide, and an 80mm telephoto — is matched by a 50MP front camera. The Reno 16c makes the expected cuts: a Dimensity 7300, a dimmer 6.57-inch panel, and an 8MP ultra-wide, but compensates with the bigger 7,000mAh cell. Both charge at 80W over SUPERVOOC.
