Realme has launched a new mid-range / budget smartphone, Realme 9 4G in India. The phone doesn’t come with 5G capabilities and supports 4G only. It is powered by a Snapdragon 680 processor and is equipped with a 6.7-inches AMOLED 2K WQHD+ display. As we reported, Realme also announced their flagship device Realme GT 2 Pro today which is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and comes with a 2K Display, 65W Charging support.
Realme 9 4G Price in India, availability
The Realme 9 4G price in India starts at Rs. 17,999 for the 6GB / 128GB variant while the higher 8GB / 128GB variant costs Rs. 18,999 and will be available on Flipkart, Realme.com & offline stores. If you own a SBI / HDFC card, you can get an instant discount of Rs. 2000 on the launch day and hence the phone will be available for Rs. 15,999 & Rs. 16,999 respectively.
The phone will be available in 3 colorways i.e. Sunburst Gold, Stargaze White, and Meteor Black.
Realme 9 4G specifications
Coming to hardware specifications of the phone, The Realme 9 4G sports a 6.4-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 680 SoC along with 6GB / 8GB of RAM. It also supports Dynamic RAM expansion up to 5GB (It’s more of a marketing gimmick in our opinion). It runs on the Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0 operating system.
Coming to the rear camera, it features a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6 primary sensor, f/1.75 aperture + 8MP ultra-wide sensor, f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP macro camera, f/2.4 aperture. On the front, the Realme 9 4G comes with a 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor with an f/2.45 aperture.
The Realme 9 4G comes with 64GB / 128GB of inbuilt UFS 2.1 storage along with microSD card support. Connectivity options include 4G LTE but no 5G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, and a USB Type-C port. It is equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor. In terms of dimensions, it measures 160.2mm x 73.3mm x 7.99mm and weighs 178g.
