Realme GT Neo 2 with Snapdragon 870 launched in China, and is coming soon to India

Realme has announced a new flagship phone in the GT series in China, with the Realme GT Neo 2. The company’s CEO, Madhav Sheth, says that the device is coming soon to India.

The GT Neo 2 sports a 6.62-inches Full HD+ E4 AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate, 92.6% Screen-to-body ratio, 1300 nits brightness, 600Hz touch sampling rate, 5000000:1 Contrast Ratio, 100% DCI-P3 Color Gamut, 106% NTSC Color Gamut, and supports HDR10+ and DC dimming. The phone is equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The handset is powered by a 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G octa-core processor clocked at 3.2GHz, with an Adreno 650 and a Vapor Cooling System. The device has 6GB/8GB/12GB of RAM, and 128GB/256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The GT Neo 2 supports up to 7GB of virtual RAM expansion, which will use your storage space to provide additional memory.

The Realme GT Neo 2 is backed by a 5000mAh battery that charges over a USB Type-C port, and supports 65W SuperDart Fast Charging. It can top up the phone to 100% in 35 minutes.

The main camera array on the GT Neo 2 has triple sensors with a 64MP primary lens, a 78.6° FOV, an f/1.8 aperture, an 8 megapixels ultra-wide angle lens with a 119° FOV, an f/2.3 aperture, a 2MP Macro Sensor with 4cm focus, an f/2.4 aperture, and an LED Flash. The selfie lens on the front is a 16MP sensor with 78° FOV, and an f/2.5 aperture.

Realme’s GT Neo 2 supports 5G and 4G VoLTE mobile networks, Wi-Fi 2.4/5 GHz Dual band, Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 4 & IEEE802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS / GLONSS / BEIDOU / GALILEO / QZSS / and Navic. The device has Dual Stereo Speakers and Dual Microphones with support for Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio. The phone measures 162.9 x 75.8 x 8.96mm, and weighs 199.8g. In the sensors department, the phone features a Geomagnetic sensor, a light sensor, a proximity sensor, a gyroscope, and an acceleration sensor

Realme has priced the GT Neo 2 at RMB 2499 for the 8GB/128GB model in China, that translates to about Rs. 29,000. The 8GB/256GB version costs RMB 2699 (about Rs. 31000), while the 12GB/256GB model carries a price tag of RMB 2999 (about Rs. 34,000)
