Google announced their flagship device Google Pixel and Pixel XL last year in October 2016. We already have started to hear rumours about the second generation of Pixel device though most of these rumours or leaks are far from credible. Adding to those leaks and rumours, today a new smartphone with the name of “Google Pixel XL2” is spotted on benchmarking portal Gfxbench revealing most of the hardware specifications of the device.

As per Gfxbench listing, Google Pixel XL sports a 5.6-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1312 pixels, which is not a Quad HD or 2K display but indicates an odd display with an unconventional ratio similar to Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+. The resolution of 2560 x 1312 pixels suggests a ratio of ~18:9 indicating a longer display. Though it appears similar to Galaxy S8, We would need to wait for some visual leak to understand if the Google Pixel XL2 display is similar.

Apart from the unusual display, the listing suggests that Google Pixel XL2 is powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm Processor clocked at 2.4 GHz which may be the Snapdragon 835 or as some rumours suggest, it could be unannounced Snapdragon 836. It comes with Adreno 540 GPU and includes a 128 GB internal storage running Android 7.1.1 Nougat based operating system.

In terms of camera, it sports a 13 MP main rear camera along with support for Ultra HD 4K video recording and another 8 MP front shooter for selfies along with support for Ultra HD 4K video recording. The list of sensors includes NFC support.

At the moment, Google is yet to acknowledge even the existence of the second generation of Pixel devices. But we expect them to launch officially somewhere near September – October 2017. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
