Sometime back, we reported on alleged borderless / edgeless smartphone from Meizu which could be the next flagship device from the company and suspected as Meizu Pro 7, similar to Xiaomi Mi Mix. Today a new set of sketches of alleged Meizu Pro 7 are spotted which indicate that the next flagship device from Meizu may not be as borderless / edgeless as Xiaomi Mi Mix, but will come with dual curved edges similar to Xiaomi Mi Note 2. The borderless phone may still be only a concept, else it’s not Meizu Pro 7.
The leaked images show dual curved edge display with small bezels at top and bottom along with front Home button. On the top, we can see a 8 MP front camera with ambient light sensor. The image indicates curved edges at top and bottom bezels and we are not sure if those bezels include the display.
The leak also point out that there may be two variants of Pro 7 powered by two different processors i.e. Samsung Exynos 8890 and Mediatek Helio X30. At the moment, we have no clue on the amount of RAM but we can expect at least 4 GB of RAM or even 6 GB of RAM as the existing Meizu Pro 6s already comes with 4 GB of RAM.
On the back, we can see a dual camera setup similar to Huawei P9 with 12 MP camera sensors with laser focus & dual tone temperature LED flash. The thickness of the device is 8 mm and the sketch indicates that a thicker device indicates bigger battery. It comes with 3.5 mm audio jack and USB C type port instead of micro USB port.
Apart from these sketches, we also spotted a render of front of Meizu Pro 7 showing the front display, but it doesn’t match exactly with the sketches above as it shows a circular home button at the bottom whereas sketch show a rectangular oval button. The display does look dual curved one, with small bezels at the top and bottom.
Existing Meizu Pro 6s sports a 5.2-inch full HD display, powered by Helio X25 processor with 4 GB of RAM & 64 GB internal storage. It comes with 12 MP main rear camera and 5 MP front shooter. The device is backed by 3060 mAh battery.
At the moment, we got no clue on other hardware specifications of the Pro 7. As with any other leak, take this with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
