We have heard rumors on HTC working on a smartwatch for some time, yet no credible information about the same is yet available. Some reports a year back indicated that HTC may announce its smartwatch at Mobile World congress 2015, but that did not happen. Even now there is no official or unofficial word on the smartwatch.
Today we spotted two alleged images on Weibo, which may be of HTC smartwatch. The images though are not taken from the front and hence doesn’t show anything from the top side or the Dial /watch face. Both the images are shot from the bottom side with straps and show the HTC written on it. The images reveal that HTC smartwatch may be circular in shape. We can also see magnet pins ( four in number) that may be used for connecting the charger using the magnetic pins.
We can see two dial button on the watch, some kind of sensor in the middle of the watch perhaps a heart rate sensor and a microphone hole probably. THe images do not reveal anything about the specifications of the watch or when they will launch.
Update:
We got two more image (same source as above) which shows the watch in recovery mode with the front display in powered on condition and shows the options such as Reboot, Boot-Loader, DPR test and Power down.
The second image with recovery state appears similar to any other Android recovery mode with options to “Apply update from ADB, wipe cache etc.” which indicate that it is powered by Android wear and not any other OS.
