Sony is renowned for its incredibly open-mindedness, when it comes to unlocking booltloaders, providing beta versions of Android updates. But it may have just outdone itself with its latest announcement, Android N Developer Preview for the Xperia Z3.
Yes, the Japanese company is the first OEM (and a non-Nexus manufacturer too), to release the latest version of Android, to its device.
The Android N Developer Preview for the Xperia Z3 is available for the D6603 and D6653 variants. Refer to the announcement page on how to flash Android N on the Z3.

- Bundled notifications
- Direct reply from notifications
- Better Doze Mode
Google usually only unveils a new version of Android in the third quarter of the year, but the Mountain View company could be launching Android N sooner, perhaps during the Google I/O developer meet, which is scheduled for May 18th to 20th 2016. It released a preview of N earlier this year, to provide OEMs some extra time, to roll out the update much more quickly, and also to enable them to launch devices with Android N directly.
