Alto’s Adventure for Android will be released on February 12th

Alto’s Adventure for Android is coming soon, really soon.

Alto's Adventure Android

Noodlecake Studios has announced that it has teamed up with the developer of the game, Snowman, who originally released the title on iOS, to port the game to Google’s mobile operating system.

Alto’s Adventure is a premium game for iOS,  but it will not be so on Android. Instead it will be a free to play game, with an IAP (In-App Purchase) for a coin doubler, as well as opt-in video ads.  This move, sadly is to counter measure the piracy situation, which runs amok amongst  Android users.

Even the cheapest priced apps and games are pirated by users, and frankly we cannot blame the developers for taking the IAP unlock route. However we feel that they should have gone with a single IAP to unlock the full game, but that could still happen according to an interview of the two developer studios, by The Verge.

That being said, it will not have any paywalls or timers. Noodlecake used Crossy Road as an inspiration on how to give Android gamers, a fair free to play experience to users. So it may not be “alto”gether a bad idea.
