Gmail for Android adds an unsubscribe button, allowing you to stop receiving newsletters

Google has released a new update for its email app, Gmail for Android, which adds in a much needed feature.

Gmail for Android App Unsubscribe Button

The app now has an unsubscribe button, which allows you to stop receiving newsletters from certain mailing lists.

This isn’t exactly a new feature in Gmail. It was shown off in the last week of September, when Google added the option to Block a sender in the Gmail app and also for the web version of Gmail. Google had announced that it would only be adding the Unsubscribe option to the Android app later this year, and it has done so with today’s update, version 5.7 .105345578.

Tap on the three dot menu in an email message, and you should see the option.

The update is already available at the Google Play Store, so just hit the update button now.
