LG G Watch is now available for Rs 14,999 from Google Play

The Google I/O Conference kicked-off yesterday, and a massive list of announcements were made during the Key Note.

LGG Watch Android Wear

One of the devices unveiled yesterday was the LG G Watch, which is the one of the first smartwatches to run on Google’s new operating system, Android Wear.

We had covered the leaked technical specifications of the G Watch prior to the official announcement, along with a leaked image, and they were pretty accurate. Now that we have the official list of tech specs, let’s take a look at it:

LG G Watch Technical Specifications

The watch has a stainless steel body, and comes with changeable straps. It uses an LCD IPS “Always On” Display, which will stay light, and uses low power to do so.  It also has Bluetooth connectivity to pair with your Android phone to display messages, shows who’s calling, and also has music play-back controls.
The wearable device also supports Google Now, so you can just say “Ok Google”, and send texts or search for information by using voice commands. The G Watch is water and dust resistant. according to the IP67 standards.

The G Watch has been priced at Rs. 14,999 ($229) will be available in the 12 Countries from today, at the Google Play Store:

  • India
  • United States
  • Canada
  • UK
  • France
  • Germany
  • Italy
  • Spain
  • South Korea
  • Japan

The wearable will be available in more Countries including, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore and Russia.

The LG G Watch comes in two colours: Black Titan and White Gold.

The watch will be compatible with all phones running Android 4.3 or above. You can visit Google’s compatibility page from your phone, to check if it will work with Android Wear.
