We are just two days away from the official launch of Xiaomi Mi 5S. Even though we know the possible specifications of Xiaomi Mi 5S thanks to numerous leaks and rumors, Xiaomi is tight-lipped about the device except few teasers. The latest teaser from Xiaomi teases the ultrasonic fingerprint for the upcoming Mi 5S smartphone.

The ultrasonic fingerprint technology comes from Qualcomm as Snapdragon Sense ID which uses ultrasonic 3D scanning and it works through surfaces such as glass, sapphire, metal, aluminum and plastic. LeEco Le Max Pro powered by Snapdragon 820 already comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon Sense ID.

As per leaks and rumors, Xiaomi Mi 5S sports a 5.15 inch display with 3D touch support and is powered by 2.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 Processor along with Adreno 530 GPU & 6 GB of RAM.

It comes with 16 MP main rear camera with 4 axis optical image stabilization, 6P lens with PDAF focus.  It comes with NFC support. It measures 144.55 x 69.2 x 7.25 mm and weighs just 147 grams. It is backed by a battery of 3490 mAh (typ) / 3410 mAh (min) capacity and supports Qualcomm fast charge 3.0. It uses USB C type port instead of micro-USB port.

Apart from Xiaomi Mi 5S, the company is expected to launch a Plus variant of the smartphone too. At the moment, we have no information on the hardware specifications of Mi 5S Plus, but we expect it to come with a bigger 6 inch display  and a bigger battery along with similar hardware specifications to Mi 5S.
