Google has officially introduced YouTube Music in India. The service debuts along with YouTube Premium.

The announcement comes about a month after Spotify landed on our shores. And just like it, YouTube Music will be available in two flavours: a free ad-supported plan, and a premium plan.

In addition to being ad-free, YouTube Music Premium also allows you to download songs offline, and supports background playback. The Premium Plan price of YouTube Music in India is Rs. 99 per month. In comparison, Spotify Premium costs you Rs. 119 for 30 days.

You can download the official app for YouTube Music in India, for free from the Google Play Store and the iOS App Store.
