Just a few hours back, we reported that image of alleged retail box of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A had leaked on the web, without revealing any details about the hardware specifications of the device. Now, a new rumour has surfaced on the web (originating from Weibo China) which allegedly reveals the technical specifications of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A.
As per the rumour, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A will be the first device in Redmi Note series to come with a dual camera module at the rear. Redmi Note series is already popular in countries like India and with the addition of a dual camera setup, the popularity of the affordable Redmi Note series is bound to increase provided Xiaomi manages to keep the prices under control.
The rumour indicates that Xiaomi Redmi 5A features a 5.5-inch full HD 1080p display, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor (MSM8953 SOC chipset). Snapdragon 625 is the same processor that powers existing Redmi Note 4. In terms of RAM and storage, Redmi Note 5A is rumoured to come with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage. In terms of camera, it features a dual camera module consisting of a wide-angle OV12A10 OmniVision sensor and another OV13880 OmniVision sensor, while on the front it is expected to feature a front shooter with Samsung S5K5E8 sensor. The rumour also suggests FPC1020 fingerprint scanner at the rear.
