Xiaomi Mi 5C Specifications and Price leak; Pinecone S1 processor, 3 GB RAM

Rumor mills around Xiaomi Mi 5C have been churning leaks from time to time, yet without any information on probable date of official launch. Today, a new leak has surfaced online which gives us a sneak peak into Xiaomi Mi 5C along with its technical specifications and price. The leak confirms earlier rumors that Mi 5C may be powered by Xiaomi’s own Pinecone processors instead of a Mediatek or Qualcomm SOC and will become the first xiaomi smartphone to be powered by Pinecone SOC.

As per this leak, Xiaomi Mi 5C sports a 5.15 inch Bright eyed display (we are not sure what it means though, thanks to odd translation) powered by an Octa-core Pinecone S1 processor along with 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. It comes with thin metal body and weighs just 132 grams. As per the leak, 3 GB RAM + 64 GB ROM variant of Xiaomi Mi 5C would be priced at 1499 Yuan and will be available for sale starting 3rd March.

Earlier rumors indicate Xiaomi Mi 5C is powered by Xiaomi own Pinecone Octa-core processor along with Mali-T860 GPU and 3 GB of RAM but rumors indicate Pinecone SoC chips with model number V670 and V970.

It comes with 64 GB of internal storage and runs on MIUI operating system.  In terms of camera, it sports a 12 MP main rear camera with Omnivision OV12870 sensor and another 8 MP front shooter with Omnivision OV8865 sensor. It is backed by a 4500 mAh battery which is almost 500 mAh more than existing devices from Xiaomi.
