Here is some good news for owners of Sony Xperia Z3, Z3 compact, Z2 and Z2 tablet. Sony is rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to Xperia Z3, Z3 compact, Z2 and Z2 tablet. These devices were part of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade roadmap list from Sony where the company has listed out its plans for devices getting the Marshmallow update.
Apart from the usual Android 6.0 Marshmallow features, this update on Sony Xperia devices will bring more features to the users some of which are listed below:
- Enhanced privacy settings to manage & control application data permissions
- An all new camera interface with option to switch between modes and customise settings with simple gestures
- Xperia Messaging with easy in-app access to Stickers
- Direct Share feature for sharing activity with friends, recent contacts and app lists.
This Android 6 Marshmallow update at the moment is rolling out to users in India in phases and should reach out to everyone in India pretty soon. We have no information if this update will also roll out to users outside India.
