Hollr, Inc have released their popular Weather App, “Solar : Weather” onto Google Play.
The app which originally made its debut on iOS in 2012, has finally been released for Android devices.
The app couldn’t be more simpler, there are no annoying ads, or complex graphs showing you information about the weather, which most people don’t understand.
It just displays the current temperature, date and time. Scroll down from the top of the screen to view a 3 day forecast, and scroll down from the bottom to view a 24 hour forecast.
You can switch between metric (°C )and imperial (°F) units from the options screen. The app uses Wunderground’s weather information if you choose the GPS option.
It uses the data from 42,000+ weather stations located in the U.S to provide the Weather information. And the weather information for all other countries are provided from their local weather stations
Looks beautiful, doesn’t it?
The only features missing from the app are a Widget and a persistent notification icon. The developers have mentioned that a widget is on it’s way.
