Samsung has announced an affordable device in its flagship series. This is the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G.
The Galaxy S20 FE 5G sports a 6.2 inches Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display. Unlike the curved screen on the normal Galaxy S20, the FE’s screen is flat, has a 20:9 aspect ratio, 120Hz refresh rate, 407PPI, and an in-display optical fingerprint scanner. The punch-hole at the top of the screen houses a 32MP selfie lens with an f/2.0 aperture, 80° FOV. It supports Face Unlock.
The device runs on Android 10 with OneUI 2.0, and comes with 6GB/8GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 octa-core processor while the 4G variant has an octa-core Exynos 990 chipset.
The Galaxy S20 FE has 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, and supports up to 1TB additional memory via a microSD card that’s part of the Hybrid Dual SIM tray. The phone is backed by a 4500mAh battery, that charges over a USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 1 port and supports 15W Fast Charging, Fast Wireless Charging 2.0, USB PD 3.0.
The main camera setup on the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE comprises triple lenses with a 12MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, OIS, a 12MP ultra wide-angle with 123° FOV, f/2.2 aperture, an 8MP telephoto lens, that has an f/2.0 aperture, 30x Space Zoom, LED Flash.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G is rated IP68 for water resistance.
