Samsung Galaxy Note10 and Galaxy Note10+ officially announced; doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack

The Samsung Galaxy Note10 and Galaxy Note10+ have been officially announced. And as feared, the phones don’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack. The design and specs were leaked multiple times, and were spot on.

Samsung Galaxy Note10

Let’s begin with the Galaxy Note10. The phone is equipped with a 6.3-inch Dynamic Super AMOLED Infinity-O display which is a Full HD+ panel that has a pixel density of 401 PPI. It supports HDR10+ and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6. The screen also houses an Ultrasonic In-display fingerprint scanner.

The device runs on Samsung One UI based on Android 9 Pie, and supports new S-Pen features like such as handwriting to text, air actions (gesture controls). The Galaxy Note10 is powered by a 2.7GHz octa core Exynos 9825 processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 in the U.S), with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone does not have a microSD card slot.

In terms of optics, the Galaxy Note10 has a triple rear camera setup comprising a 12MP primary sensor with a 77° wide-angle lens that supports variable aperture (f/1.5 to f/1.8 to f/2.4), which is accompanied by a 16MP 123° ultra-wide angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture and a 12MP telephoto lens (45°) with an f/2.1 aperture. The cameras support 2x Optical Zoom, Optical Image stabilization (OIS) and are assisted by an LED Flash.

The selfie lens on the Note10 is a 10MP, 80° wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture that supports HDR10+  and Face recognition (Face Unlock). The device is IP68 certified for dust and water resistance.

The battery on the Samsung Galaxy Note10 is a 3,500 mAh cell that supports 25W Quick Charging over USB Type-C and 12W Wireless Charging. The phone supports NFC, MST, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/ b/ g/ n/ ac/ ax (2.4/ 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0 among other connectivity protocols.

Samsung Galaxy Note10+

The Galaxy Note10+ is nearly identical to the regular variant but for a few key differences. It sports a 6.8 QHD+ Super AMOLED display which has a pixel density of 498 PPI, and a resolution of 3040 x 1440 pixels.

It has 12GB RAM and will be available in 256GB/512GB. The phone has 4 cameras on the back panel, the extra lens is a VGA DepthVision camera (Depth sensor). The Note10 Plus is backed by a 4,300 mAh battery which supports  45W Quick Charging and 20W Wireless Charging.

Samsung Galaxy Note10 price in India

The Samsung Galaxy Note10 price in India is Rs. 69,999 while the Galaxy Note 10+ has been priced at Rs. 79,999 for the 12GB/256GB variant. The phones will be available in Aura Black, Aura Glow, and Aura White colours. The phones are available for pre-booking now (until August 22nd), via Amazon, Flipkart, Samsung, PayTM and Tata Cliq. The devices will go on sale from August 23.
