The Realme 2 has been officially launched in India. And we can say proudly that our previous leaks about the device were 100% accurate.
The phone sports a 6.2-inch Notch display which has a of HD+ resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels, a pixel density of 271 PPI, a 19:9 aspect ratio, and is protected by with Corning Gorilla Glass. The phone runs ColorOS 5.1, which is based on Android Oreo 8.1.
The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor clocked at 1.8GHz, and will be available in 3GB/4GB RAM variants. The storage capacity on the Realme 2 is 32GB/64GB with a dedicated microSD card slot which supports upto 256GB of expandable memory.
The camera department on the Realme 2 comprises of a 13MP and 2MP rear cameras, and an 8MP selfie lens. The front camera supports AI Beautification 2.0, HDR and bokeh mode. The device supports Face Unlock via the front camera, and has a fingerprint scanner on the back panel.
The Realme 2 battery has a capacity of 4230 mAh. The phone supports dual SIM cards, and supports 4G VoLTE on both slots. The phone measures at 156.2 x 75.6 x 8.2mm and weighs 168g. The device has a Diamond-cutting design with a reflecting effect and 12-layer nano tech.
Realme 2 India price
The Realme 2 India priced starts at Rs. 8,990 for the 3GB RAM variant with 32GB of storage, and at Rs. 10,990 for the 4GB RAM variant with 64GB of storage. The device will be sold exclusively on Flipkart, with the sale starting at 12 Noon on September 4th. The phone will be available in Diamond Red, and Diamond Black colours initially. The Diamond Blue variant will be available from October.
