Poco has made the standard Poco X8 official for global markets, and the number on its own launch artwork is 8,340mAh. That is a big battery by any normal standard. It is also noticeably smaller than the 9,000mAh cell Poco has already confirmed for the Indian X8, which goes on sale on 4 September. Same name, same screen size, different battery — and buyers reading Indian teasers should not assume the phone in a European store matches them.
Poco X8 pricing and availability
Poco lists three memory configurations for the X8: 6GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB. Europe gets only the two 256GB versions. The 8GB model is priced at €399.99 and the 12GB model at €449.99, with early bird pricing of €319.99 and €359.99 respectively. The 128GB configuration is not part of the European line-up, so the €399.99 entry price buys 256GB rather than the cheapest config on the spec sheet.
Indian pricing has not been announced. Poco India confirmed 4 September at 12 PM for the X8 and X8 Power, and we covered what Poco has confirmed for those two phones when the teaser campaign started. Poco’s own product page leads on endurance and durability rather than raw speed, which is a fair reflection of what this chip can do. The Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 is a mid-tier part, and the display and battery are where the money went.

Read the battery number for your own market
The regional split is the detail worth holding onto. The global X8 has 8,340mAh. The Indian X8 has 9,000mAh, and the Indian X8 Power has 10,000mAh with 100W charging — both confirmed by Poco India’s own posts, not leaks. Three phones share a name and a display, and the headline spec that Poco’s marketing shouts loudest about is different in each.
None of that makes 8,340mAh a bad cell. It does mean the endurance claims circulating from one market’s campaign are not transferable to another’s hardware, and Poco is not going out of its way to say so. If battery life is the reason you are looking at this phone, check the capacity listed for the specific SKU your retailer is selling before you buy.
One more thing worth flagging on the software side: Poco advertises a “60-month like-new software experience” on its global product page. That is a performance-retention marketing claim, not a stated commitment to five years of Android version upgrades, and Poco has not published an OS update count for the global X8 at the time of writing.
