Poco has announced the Poco C55 in India. The entry-level 4G phone is powered by an octa-core Mediatek Helio G85 processor clocked at 2.0GHz.
The smartphone is equipped with a 6.71-inches HD+ display that supports a resolution of 1650 x 720 pixels, 60Hz Refresh Rate, and 120Hz Touch Sampling Rate. The Poco C55 runs on MIUI 13 based on Android 12, with an Arm Mali-G52 MC2 GPU, 4GB/6GB of RAM, and 64GB/128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. Poco has packed a 5000mAh battery in the phone.
Sadly, the Poco C55 has a micro USB port instead of a USB Type C Connector, and only supports 10W charging speed. It is also worth noting that the phone does not have a physical light Sensor or a proximity sensor, and instead relies on the software implementation for the same. The mobile has an accelerometer, and a rear fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.
The front camera on the handset is a 5MP sensor, while the main camera array on the rear consists of a 50MP primary lens, and a depth sensor. The Poco C55 is capable of recording videos at 720p HD quality. The phone weighs 192g and measures 168.76 x 76.41 x 8.77m. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G LTE, Dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
