Google has raised the Pixel 10a’s US price by $100. The 128GB model now starts at $599 instead of $499. That is a 20% increase on a phone built to be the affordable Pixel. The new price took effect on October 2, 2026 and shows up across the Google Store, Amazon and Best Buy. As of October 3, Google has not explained the change.

Pixel 10a pricing after the increase
Google’s own product page now reads “From $599” for the Pixel 10a. The increase is not limited to the United States.
- Pixel 10a 128GB: $599, up from $499
- Pixel 10a 256GB: $699
- Canada: CAD $849
- United Kingdom: £599
- Europe: €649
Amazon’s listing for the 128GB Obsidian unit matched the $599 figure when we checked on October 3. The hike is not a Google Store quirk that retailers will undercut.
Google signalled this, without naming the phone
When Google raised prices across the Pixel 11 lineup, the company said the increase would eventually reach its in-market Pixel phones too. Several outlets read that as a warning aimed at the 10a. This week’s change makes that reading look correct.
What Google still has not done is explain the reasoning. As of October 3, no official statement on the Pixel 10a increase has surfaced. Coverage has pointed at the memory and component cost spike squeezing the industry. That explanation belongs to the outlets making it, not to Google.
What it means if you were about to buy one
The Pixel 10a is the same phone it was last week. Nothing in the hardware changed and nothing was added. The extra $100 buys the buyer nothing at all.
That matters more here than it would on a flagship. The argument for an “a” model is that it delivers most of the Pixel experience for meaningfully less money. A 20% jump erodes exactly that.
If you were waiting for a sale, the sensible move now is to shop around before committing. Compare carrier offers and trade-in credits, because the list price is no longer the bargain it was.
Google is not alone in this. Samsung has pushed US prices up across its range too, including the Galaxy S26 series. For buyers, the pattern is the uncomfortable part. Prices are now moving up mid-cycle, not only at launch.
