OnePlus has announced its latest flagship phones globally. The devices are called the OnePlus 9 5G and OnePlus 9 Pro 5G. A third phone exists, the OnePlus 9R and this one is exclusive to India.
OnePlus says that the new FluidDisplay 2.0 uses LTPO and HyperTouch. By using adaptive refresh rate that drops from 120Hz to 1Hz when viewing images, the company says it provides 50% better battery life consumption.
The phone runs on Android 11 with OxygenOS 11, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G octa-core processor with 8GB/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The device has a 16MP selfie lens with a Sony IMX 471 sensor and an f/2.4 aperture.
OnePlus has partnered with Swedish camera maker Hasselblad to calibrate the cameras on the OnePlus 9 series, more specifically Natural Color Calibration. The main camera on the OnePlus 9 Pro 5G is a 48MP Sony IMX 789 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, 1/.43″ sensor size, Optical Image Stabilization.
The secondary snappers is a 50MP Ultra-Wide angle lens with a Sony IMX 766 sensor and an f/2.2 aperture. The third camera is an 8MP telephoto lens, while the final lens is a 2MP B & W sensor. The OnePlus 9 series’ camera app has an Orange shutter button similar to the one on Hasselbad cameras, it even plays the famous Leaf Shutter sound when you click pictures.
The OnePlus 9 Pro 5G is backed by a 4,500 mAh battery that charges over a USB Type-C port, and supports 65W fast charging aka WarpCharge 65T which can top up the device to 65% in just 15 minutes, or completely charge the phone in 30 minutes. In addition to this the phone supports 50W Wireless Charging that can charge the phone to 100% in 45 minutes. The device supports 5G, 4G LTE mobile networks, NFC, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 among connectivity options.

The OnePlus 9 5G sports a 6.55-inches, Full HD+ with 120Hz Refresh Rate, an In-display fingerprint scanner.
It has the same processor, selfie camera, battery, memory and storage as the Pro version. However, the regular version only supports 15W wireless charging.
