OnePlus is holding a pre-launch photo contest for the OnePlus 2 on its forums, which is similar to the one it held last year.
The reason why this is important is, the contest held last year was in April, just 15 days before the OnePlus One was launched.
The last date for the new contest (Photo Mania 2015) is June 15, and the winners will get a chance to try the OnePlus 2 before anyone else.
It is worth noting that the winners of the photo contest in 2014, only got a hands on look at a test camera unit of the OnePlus One, but they were gifted the phones later.
So, comparing the two contests, it is possible that the OnePlus 2 could be launched soon, maybe at the end of this month. Need a further confirmation? Well, the contest form hosted on Google docs asks “Are you eligible to fly to Hong Kong on or before June 28, 2015? ”
This also suggests that the OnePlus 2 could be launched at the end of this month.
Oh, and don’t forget that the company has announced that the OnePlus One has a permanent price cut of $50.
