As expected, HMD Global has just unveiled two new Nokia smartphones i.e. Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 at Mobile World Congress MWC 2017. Nokia 3 is an entry level smartphone, while Nokia 5 is a mid range one. Apart from these smartphones, the company also announced about the Global availability of Nokia 6 which at the moment is exclusive to China. The company claims to provide purest form of Android with these devices. All these three Nokia smartphones will launch globally in Q2, 2017.
Nokia 3
Nokia 3 comes with a precision machined aluminium frame forged out of a single piece of aluminium featuring a 5 inch HD IPS 720p 2.5D display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and is powered by Quad-core 1.3Ghz Mediatek MT6737 processor along with 2 GB of RAM. It comes with 16 GB of internal storage along with support for expandable storage via microsd card and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. It comes with 8 MP main rear autofocus camera with 1.12um pixel size & f/2 aperture with LED flash and another 8 MP front shooter with 84 degrees field of view & flash for selfies.
It is backed by a 2650 mAh integrated battery and supports 4G LTE. In terms of dimensions, it measures 43.4 x 71.4 x 8.48 mm ( 8.68 mm is camera bump). It will be available in Silver White, Matte Black, Tempered Blue and Copper White color options.
In terms of pricing, Nokia 3 will retail at an average global retail price of €139.
Nokia 5
Nokia 5 is engineered out of a single block of 6000 series aluminium, featuring a 5.2 inch HD IPS 720p 2.5 Ddisplay protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor along with 2 GB of RAM. It comes with 16 GB of internal storage along with support for expandable storage via microsd card and runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system. It comes with 13 MP main rear camera with PDAF, 1.12um pixel size & f/2 aperture with dual tone LED flash and another 8 MP front shooter with 84 degrees field of view for selfies.
It is backed by a 3000 mAh integrated battery and supports 4G LTE. In terms of dimensions, it measures 149.7 x 72.5 x 8.05 mm ( 8.55 mm with camera bump). It will be available inTempered Blue, Silver, Matte Black and Copper color options.
In terms of pricing, Nokia 5 will retail at an average global retail price of €189.
