LeEco Le 2 update adds Call Recording, improves Night mode in Camera

LeEco has just released an OTA update to Le 2 smartphone users in India which adds some new features and fixes numerous bugs. If you remember, LeEco had removed the Automatic call Recording feature from Le 2 during the last OTA update and many users were miffed due to that.With the latest OTA update, LeEco Le 2 gets back the call recording feature and now users can again record voice calls just by tapping a button on the dialer screen.

Apart from the call recording feature, the OTA update enhances the auto night mode of the camera and optimizes color display in low light conditions. It also fixed an issue in which ghosting may occur when taking photo of moving objects in HDR mode.

LeEco Le 2 OTA update

The Le2 OTA update comes with version 5.8.016S with a release date of 9 August 2016. The update file size is 361.92 MB and hence you should update your Le 2 only when connected to a WiFi connection. The update as usual is rolling out in phases and should reach everyone soon. Check out the change-log below for more details on all the bug fixes and new features:

[Feedback]

Fixed an issue in which the feedback’ app crashes after submitted online feedback.

[Dialer]

Added back call recording function
[Recovery Mode]

Fixed an issue in which no apk file found’error message pop up when update system in recovery mode.

[Wallpaper]

Fixed an issue in which wallpaper change back to default occasionally.
[Camera]

Enhanced the auto night mode, Optimized color display in low light conditions. Fixed an issue in which ghosting may occur when taking photo of moving objects in HDR mode.

[Hall Sensor]

Optimised Hall Sensor Int value which fixed auto lock screen issue.

[Dolby]

Modified Dolby parameter. Optimised Dolby Atmos

[Third-party App]

Optimised WhatsApp Notification tone volume Fixed an issue in which sound can not switch from earphone to speaker after unplugged earphone when listening to Whatsapp voice message.

[Type-C]

Optimised Type-C earphone energy consumption when using GPS. Fix the issue where there is a pop sound in type-C earphones at dialing.
