Huawei P9 with Dual Leica Cameras, Kirin 955, 3GB RAM launched for Rs 39,999 in India

Huawei has launched its flagship phone, the Huawei P9, in India. This is the first device in the Huawei P series to be launched in the Country.

ICYMI, the P9 was launched in April 2016. AndroidPure was at the launch event today in Gurgaon.

Let’s take a look at the device’s hardware details. The Huawei P9 sports a 5.2-inch 1080p Full HD Super AMOLED display, with a pixel density of 423 ppi, and runs on EMUI based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The phone is powered by Huawei’s in-house, octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 955 processor, along with 3GB of RAM and a Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. The P9 comes with 64GB of internal storage, and features a microSD card for expandable memory, which supports upto 256GB of storage.

The highlight of the Huawei P9 is the camera department, which comprises of  Dual 12 megapixel rear lenses from Leica cameras. There is one monochrome sensor while the other is a 4-colour RGBW sensor. The camera supports phase detection autofocus, and has an f/2.2 aperture, Dual LED flash for better pictures in low light conditions.

The front camera is an 8 megapixel lens with an f/1.9 aperture. The Huawei P9 is backed by a 3000 mAh battery, has a USB Type-C port. The phone sports a fingerprint scanner which is housed in the back panel.  The P9  has Dual SIM card slots, and one of these is a Hybrid SIM card slot, which means you can either use two SIMs or  a micro SIM card and a microSD card.

The Huawei P9 has a full metal body design, with a brushed metal texture finish. The device will be available in 4 colours: Titanium Grey, Mystic Silver, Prestige Gold and Rose Gold.

The Huawei P9 has been priced at Rs. 39,999 in India, and will be available from Flipkart from 3PM today.
