Google have finally brought in what has been one of the most requested features to the Play Store, support for PayPal payments.

However, this feature is only available in 12 Countries for now.

While the full list of supported Countries has not been announced, Google did mention that it is available in the U.S, Canada, and Germany. So an update for the Play Store app will be pushed soon, which will allow you to buy an app or a game, using the PayPal option like the one seen in the image below.

This will be especially useful for people who do not have credit cards, PayPal does support debit cards. Though in India, you will need a PAN card to use a PayPal account.

Additionally, Google have also added support for Google Play gift cards for more Countries, the total now stands at 13.

Here is the list of Countries where Google Play Gift Cards are available:

  1. Australia
  2. Austria
  3. Canada
  4. France
  5. Germany
  6. Hong Kong
  7. Italy
  8. Japan
  9. Mexico
  10. Spain
  11. Switzerland
  12. United Kingdom
  13. United States

Also,  Carrier billing is now available in Singapore, Thailand,Taiwan and more, totalling to 24 Countries.

Looks like someone at Google forgot to mention the list of supported Countries for all of the above. What a mess!
