Gionee M6 and M6 Plus with 4 GB RAM, encrypted chip official

As expected, Gionee has just announced two new smartphones at a launch event in Beijing China today and both these smartphones comes with big batteries. Gionee M6 / M6 Plus are the latest in Gionee Marathon series which basically characterises with big batteries powering the smartphone. The last model in marathon series are Gionee M5 / M5 plus that came with 5000 mAh battery.

Apart from battery, M5/M5 Plus sports an encrypted chip to secure a user’s personal data and for secured calls and SMS, in the Chinese version. But unfortunately, for international version of these phones, only fingerprint sensor on the front is provided. Hence for any variant outside China, there is no encrypted chip but just the fingerprint sensor.

Gionee M6

M6 comes with an all around metallic build with a 5.5 inch Full HD AMOLED display and is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Helio P10 processor along with 4GB of RAM. In terms of storage, two variants of 64GB and 128GB along with support for expandable storage via microsd card slot up to 128 GB.

In terms of camera, it comes with a 13MP main rear camera with LED flash and 8MP front shooter.It runs on Gionee Amigo 3.5 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

It is backed by a 5000mAh battery with support for 9V/2A quick charge.It is 8.2mm thick and weighs 180 gm.

It comes with IR blaster and a fingerprint scanner on front embedded in Home button. Gionee M6 is priced at 2699 Yuan (~Rs. 27,000 or $400) for the 64 GB variant and 2899 Yuan (~Rs. 29,000 or $435) for the 128 GB variant.

Gionee M6 Plus

M6 Plus comes with an all around metallic build, but with a bigger 6.0 inch Full HD AMOLED display and is powered by 2.0 GHz octa-core Helio P10 processor along with 4GB of RAM. In terms of storage, it comes with same storage as M6 i.e. 64 GB & 128 GB.

Gionee M6 Plus

In terms of camera, it comes with a bigger 16 MP main rear camera with LED flash and 8 MP front shooter.It is backed by a bigger battery of 6020 mAh battery with support for 12V/2A quick charge. It weighs 215 g.

Gionee M6-M6 plus Price

Gionee M6 Plus is priced at 2999 Yuan (~Rs. 30,000 or $450) for the 64 GB variant and 3199 Yuan (~Rs. 32,000 or $480) for the 128 GB variant.
