Smartphone manufacturers these days appear more willing to provide Android OS updates to their respective devices, thanks to Android smartphone users getting a bit more vocal on this aspect. Gionee Mobiles has just announced that they are rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop update to its Gionee CTRL V4S smartphone in India. Gionee CTRL V4S at the moment runs Android 4.4 kitkat operating system.
The only issue with with Android 5.0 Lollipop update to Gionee CTRL V4S though is, the update is not rolling out as OTA (over the air) update. The users need visit Gionee service centers with their devices to grab the Lollipop update.
This update bring the Android System Upgrade to Lollipop along with Amigo ROM 5.0 features some of which are listed below:
- New call answer interface and pop-up call UI
- Slide up control center from the bottom and customize the screenshot.
- Manage notifications from applications.
- Make your favorite song as ringtone
- A new theme: Good mood.
- Updated Applications: Gionee Xender, Game Zone, WPS Office, Saavn, Amigo Paper
